LOS ANGELES

It may still be warm out, but snow is definitely in the air … or on the airwaves at least, in an enchanting collection of six winter-themed adventures featuring preschool favorites Barney™, Bob the Builder™, Thomas the Tank Engine™, Kipper,™ Fireman Sam™and Pingu™ the Penguin - in Winter Wonderland, available November 20 from HIT Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

HIT Entertainment creates entertaining content and rich characters that become lifelong friends to children, encouraging exploration of their imaginations and the world around them and teaching early lessons to help them grow in both heart and mind.

Joining in the fun and celebration of Winter Wonderland are:

  • Barney - It's a cold day and everyone's favorite purple dinosaur and his friends are eagerly - and as patiently as possible - awaiting the first snowfall of the season in "Winter." To pass the time, they sing, dance, make paper snowflakes and contemplate exactly what snow tastes like!
  • Bob the Builder - in "Bob of the North," Bob, Lofty, Scoop, Dizzy and the rest of the crew are called to action to plow and sand the snow-covered roads and repair a neighbor's collapsing roof. Geared up with his tennis racket snowshoes (necessity is the mother of invention, after all), Bob is on the job!
  • Thomas & Friends - In "Keeping Up With James," winter has come to Thomas' enchanted island and the engines are called to duty to plow the snow-blanketed land. When offered the chance to pull the present train for the upcoming holiday party as incentive, the engines set to work, James most eagerly of all. But will the red engine's "Must Be First" attitude earn him the coveted prize or get him into trouble?
  • Fireman Sam - Fireman Sam first made his TV debut in 1986 and has been racing to the rescue of his friends and colleagues in the Welsh village of Pontypandy ever since. In "Let It Snow," a heavy snowstorm is on the way and the town makes preparations. But trouble soon abounds as a snow bank threatens the delivery of food - and the town Christmas Tree - and young Norman gets trapped in a cave. Have no fear, though, for Sam and his courageous team are here!
  • Kipper - This mischievous little puppy dog, based on the best selling books by Mike Inkpen, spends his time finding adventures while reinforcing lessons such as cooperation, courtesy and kindness to others. In "Snowy Day," Kipper and his best friend Tiger make the most of their snowy setting, making snow angels, having a snowball fight and rolling down a snow-covered hill. These dogs really "snow" how to have a good time!
  • Pingu - Kids may not understand a word adorable penguin Pingu and his family are saying - it's all in "Penguinese" - but they'll laugh just the same at their adorable antics in this unique and quirky show. No lack of snow in Pingu's world, being that he lives in Antarctica! Who knew blowing up a balloon could be such a daunting - and hilarious - task?! Find out in "Pinga's Balloon."
