HIT Entertainment, one of the world's leading pre-school children's entertainment producers and rights owners, has further strengthened its management team with the appointment of Claudia Scott-Hansen to the position of Vice President, US TV Distribution. She will be based in the New York office, and will report to London-based EVP for Worldwide TV Distribution, Alison Homewood.
Scott-Hansen joins HIT from the BBC where she has spent the past 10 years in various senior management positions across TV Syndication, Licensing & Merchandising and Local Format Production. Based in New York for the past two years, she most recently held the position of Director PBS Syndication where she was responsible for the distribution of BBC programming, including children's programs, situation comedies and documentaries, to 48 PBS stations in the United States.
Prior to this role, Scott-Hansen was Head of Licensing EMEA and was instrumental in developing the brand and licensing strategy for the highly-successful children's properties Teletubbies and Tweenies into key territories and across various television platforms in the US, Italy, Germany, Middle East and South Africa.
As the Vice President, US TV Distribution, she will be responsible for all TV distribution of HIT properties into the US including Bob the Builder™, Barney & Friends™, Thomas & Friends™, Fireman Sam™, Angelina Ballerina™ and The Wiggles®.
