It's time for a stu-u-pendous celebration, as everyone's favorite purple dinosaur arrives in New York City to kick off the spring leg of his 20-city BIG PURPLE BUS TOUR. Barney is hitting the road and spending time with friends as he commemorates 20 years of sharing, caring and imagination at Toys"R"Us stores across the country.
On Saturday, January 26, join Barney as he visits Toys"R"Us Times Square to host a special sing-along, featuring Barney fans' favorite songs. Following the performance, those who attend the party can help commemorate Barney's birthday by taking photos with the purple dino himself. Guests can also get their faces painted, and just for joining the fun, receive a special, complimentary Barney activity book*!
Attendees at the Toys"R"Us Times Square celebration will also have a chance to be among the first to purchase the Barney: Celebrating Around the World DVD before it is available anywhere else!

20 Years of Barney:
Created in 1987 by Sheryl Leach, a former teacher and mother, Barney has become a staple in preschoolers' lives, modeling Sharing, Caring, Imagining, Dancing and Learning on TV, online and through live events, home entertainment and publishing. The Emmy-award winning series, Barney & Friends changed the face of children's television when it first launched, and continues to be one of the top-rated preschool shows today, airing on PBS KIDS® and PBS KIDS SproutSM. In 2006 the series introduced its first new dino in 13 years, Riff, a 6 year-old Hadrasaur and cousin to BJ and Baby Bop. The 11th season of Barney & Friends™ premiered on PBS KIDS September 3, 2007.
