Aardman appoints HIT Entertainment for Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Aardman Classics in the US and Canada

Aardman Animations, the Oscar®-winning studio behind Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run and the most recent Shaun the Sheep TV series has appointed HIT Entertainment to manage their licensing and home entertainment rights in the US and Canada. With immediate effect HIT will manage the rights of three properties, Wallace & Gromit™, Shaun the Sheep™ and Aardman Classics.

Preschoolers Say "Bienvenidos" To New Friends As HIT Entertainment And V-Me Enter Strategic Partnership

HIT Entertainment, a leading provider of quality preschool entertainment, pens its first major Spanish language television deal in the US with V-me, a new, national Spanish language network. V-me, (pronounced veh-meh) which in Spanish means 'see me', is a 24-hour digital broadcast network presented by public television stations in markets across America, and is carried on basic digital cable and satellite. This deal will bring more than five of HIT's quality preschool programs into approximately 60 percent of Spanish speaking households in the US, reaching more than 28 million homes.

Lenora Hume, award-winning international TV and film executive, began her career in her native Canada 30 years ago. Trained as a cinematographer before moving over to production, Hume has worked on several award-winning film and televisions series in more than 18 countries and is the recipient of a Daytime Emmy, a Gemini Award and is the 2006 recipient of the prestigious Faculty of Arts Alumni Achievement Award from the University of Waterloo, recognising her outstanding contribution to the film and television industry.
