Wishbone is a live-action television series that brings books to life for kids and their families. In each episode, the star - a friendly Jack Russell Terrier with an overactive imagination - leaps into a new and exciting adventure with his human owner, Joe Talbot and his friends in their hometown of Oakdale. Almost anything sparks Wishbone's imagination - from Joe's school beach party to the family's end of the summer adventure in Jackson Park, and he's reminded of a favorite classic story in which he is the hero!

Wishbone is an adventurous, imaginative, smart, articulate, loyal, clever and devastatingly handsome dog. Some people refer to him as "a little dog with a big imagination." With an imagination as creative as Wishbone's, he can do just about anything. Sail a raft. Shoot an arrow. Dance at a ball. He can even fly through the air if that's where the story takes him. In the classics, he actually becomes a famous character, interacting and communicating with humans as their equal. But he's 100% canine and proud of it. Like any dog he appreciates a well-placed scratch and a tasty treat.
