Fireman Sam™, the Ultimate Hero Next Door, has been racing to the rescue of his friends and colleagues in all sorts of perilous situations since he first made his UK TV debut in 1986. Based in the pleasant Welsh village of Pontypandy, Fireman Sam is a pillar of the community and the hero of every rescue. - Fireman Sam was nominated for a children's BAFTA for 'Sam Tan'
2005
- Fireman Sam features in the successful CBeebies live show in their seven arena tour across the UK
- Fireman Sam joins visitor theme- park, Butlins in the UK
2006
- Fireman Sam is bought by HIT Entertainment and goes into production on its fifth season
- Fireman Sam is nominated for Best TV series of Action & Adventure at the "Cartoon's on the Bay" awards, a bi-annual animation festival held in Positano
- Fireman Sam drives his trademark fire engine down Pall Mall in London as a guest at the Queen's 80th birthday party at the palace
- Fireman Sam's live stage show kicks off and attracts more than125,000 people in 50 theatres across the UK
- Fireman Sam premieres in the US on digital cable channel PBS KIDS SproutSM during Fire Safety Week
