Fifi and the Flowertots: Supporting Character Bios

The Flowertots

Bumble
Bumble is a happy little bee, and Fifi's best and most loyal friend. He is always eager to help her out, though he can be a little accident-prone at times.

Rather inconveniently for a bee, Bumble suffers from occasional hay fever, which can prove a bit of a problem when collecting pollen to make his delicious honey!

Bumble absolutely adores Fifi and really looks up to her. He admires her zest for life and loves going on exciting adventures with her.

Bumble's catchphrase is "Wiggly worms!"

Violet
Violet is the smallest and youngest Flowertot and is very timid and shy. She is highly creative, always painting or making jewelry. Her demeanor is very calm and she has a very sweet voice.

Violet is very fond of Pip and loves to mother him. He pretends not to like the attention lavished upon him, but secretly he loves it. Although best friends, Violet and Primrose often fall out over their frequent differences of opinion, leaving Fifi to act as mediator.

Violet's catchphrase is "It's sooo pretty!"

Primrose
Primrose lives with Violet in Flowertot Cottage. She is very prim and proper and hates getting anything dirty or messy. She cannot understand why Fifi doesn't mind getting her hands dirty doing all that gardening! Primrose always likes to look her best and to keep everything in its proper place. Keen to get her own way, Primrose has a tendency to be overly dramatic at times.

An accomplished seamstress, Primrose makes all her own clothes and sometimes makes pretty things for all her friends (her ongoing ambition is to get tomboy Fifi into a pretty dress!). The Hyacinth Bouquet of the Flowertot World, Primrose walks around with her head held high and her nose ever so slightly in the air -- although she would be upset to be thought of as condescending or patronizing towards others.

Primrose's catchphrase in "I am NOT having a good day!"

Pip Gooseberry
The youngest in Flowertot Garden, Pip can be found whizzing around on his scooter. He is an extremely excitable Gooseberry who loves helping Fifi and Bumble, though sometimes he can be more of a hindrance than a help.

Fifi watches protectively over Pip as he occasionally needs guidance. He may be small but he has a huge spirit and sense of adventure; sometimes disappearing off into the foliage to roan the distant reaches of the garden.

Pip just wants to be part of a gang -- any gang -- and is happy to tag along behind the others. Primrose sometimes finds his excitability a little tiresome, but ultimately, she wouldn't have him any other way.

Pip's catchphrase is "Golly Gooseberries!"

Poppy
Big, loud and friendly, Poppy is a larger than life character. She is extremely sporty and game for anything. Poppy is very down to earth, confident and outgoing. She loves nothing more than catching up with her friends.

This kind-hearted, hardworking Flowertot is honest and straightforward, if not a little bossy at times.

Poppy is kept very busy running the market stall -- a brightly colored pumpkin -- which sells anything and everything. She is in constant demand for produce from her customers.

Poppy's catchphrase is "Come to my market!"

Aunt Tulip
Aunt Tulip is everybody's aunt. She is open and friendly, extremely kind and has a tendency to mother others. She also possesses a spectacular laugh that envelopes her whole being.

She can be rather eccentric, which all the others find very funny. They are all very fond of her, even if she does have a tendency to chatter on. She loves hosting tea parties where she tells stories about her "neighbors" (whom the flowertots never actually meet!).

Aunt Tulip's catchphrase is "Sweet Potatoes!"

Grubby
Grubby is Aunt Tulip's pet caterpillar. He is very cute and white and fluffy. He does not speak but snuffles and sniffs things and nibbles on anything he can find. He is always getting dirty.

Aunt Tulip likes to take him for walks around Flowertot Garden on a leash so that he doesn't wander off. But of course, he always does.

Stingo
Stingo is the garden rascal who thinks he is far superior to all the others, simply because he is the oldest. He is the rather limited brains behind the double act with Slugsy, hatching harebrained plan after scatterbrained scheme!

Stingo looks down on the rest of the garden from Apple Tree House, high up in the branches of the tree, watching everything that goes on through the telescope that he keeps on his utility belt.

Stingo bosses poor Slugsy around and gets extremely annoyed at his slimy friend's inability to keep up. He loves to cause trouble and have fun and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal.

Stingo's catchphrase is "Bingo Stingo!"

Slugsy
Slugsy is Stingo's only real friend, and has been blessed with an even smaller brain than that of his wasp-friend. He lives in a den at the base of Stingo's Tree House. Slugsy is just as naughty as Stingo, although he does have a conscience. His stupidity and incompetence often ruins Stingo's cunning plans.

Slugsy is always out of breath as he struggles to keep up with Stingo. Slugsy is subservient and always eager to please Stingo.

Slugsy has a crush on Primrose (who doesn't like being anywhere near him) and he is always trying to impress her. He is easily over excited and has a tendency to burst into song, which Stingo hates and quickly puts a stop to.

Stingo and Slugsy would love to be part of the Flowertot gang, but would never admit it.

Slugsy's catchphrase is "Yess Boss!"

Webby
Webby is older than the others and as such is the sage of the Flowertot Garden. The Flowertots like to visit Webby's Web for advice. She is very good at explaining things clearly and succinctly to her young friends. She is a strategist with a solution to every problem and an answer to every question.

Webby is well respected by all the characters, except Stingo and Slugsy who try and avoid her in case she tries to catch them in her web!

Webby's catchphrase is "My web is shaking -- I must have visitors!"

Mo
Mo is the compost-powered mower with a trailer at the back. He is a happy little soul; speaking only in "brmmmmms."

Mo transports Fifi and her friends around the garden and helps harvest all the fruit and vegetables. Fifi can often be found rooting around for old leaves and apple peels to feed Mo as he often funs out of organic fuel!

Mo's catchphrase is "Beep-beep!"
