Greg Dyke, Chairman, HIT Entertainment has more than 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry.
Prior to his appointment to HIT's Board of Directors, Mr. Dyke served as Director- General of the BBC where he reorganized its structure with the intentions of becoming closer to program-makers and utilizing more of the BBC's resources on programs and services for audiences.
Mr. Dyke served as Chief Executive at Pearson Television where he built the network into the largest non-US independent production company in the world. He guided the consortium which created Channel 5 and became its first Chairman.
Mr. Dyke also held various positions at TVS (Television South) and TV-am. He began his broad career working for London Weekend Television where he later became Group Chief Executive of LWT (Holdings) PLC.
In 2004, Mr Dyke was made the new Chancellor of the University of York and his autobiography, The Inside Story chronicling his tenure with the BBC was published by Harper Collins. He has served as Chairman of the Independent Television Association (1992-94), Chairman of GMTV (1993-94), and at various times a director of Pearson plc, Channel Four Television, ITN and BSkyB.
Mr. Dyke has been a Trustee of the Science Museum in London since 1995, and was made a Fellow of the Royal Television Society in 1998 and a Fellow of the National Film and Television School in 2002.
