Claudia Scott-Hansen, Vice President, US Content Distribution, HIT Entertainment has more than 15 years of experience in licensing and media distribution. In her current role, Ms. Scott-Hansen is responsible for all Broadcast strategies and the distribution of HIT properties into the US including Bob the Builder™, Barney™, Thomas & Friends™, Angelina Ballerina™ and acquired properties, such as Chapman Entertainment's Fifi and the Flowertots™ and Roary the Racing Car™.
Prior to joining HIT, Ms. Scott-Hansen spent the past 10 years at the BBC, both in London and New York, in various senior management positions across TV Syndication, Licensing & Merchandising and Local Format Production. Most recently, she held the position of Director PBS Syndication where she was responsible for the distribution of BBC programming, including children's programs, situation comedies and documentaries.
Previously, Ms. Scott-Hansen was Head of Licensing EMEA, and was instrumental in developing the brand and licensing strategy for the highly successful children's properties Teletubbies and Tweenies into key territories and across various television platforms in the EMEIA territories including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Middle East and South Africa.
Ms. Scott-Hansen received a BA in Political Science from Boston College, a BA in Renaissance Literature from the University of Florence, Italy and was a 1991 Fulbright Scholarship recipient.
